MealMetra (“MealMetra”, “we”, “our” or “us”) provides an AI-assisted meal tracking application that can analyse meal photographs, estimate nutrition information, keep meal records and provide meal ideas. This policy explains the kinds of information we may process when you use our app or website.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the features you use, we may collect account information such as your name, email address or account identifier; meal photographs and information you submit about meals; generated meal and nutrition estimates; saved meal history; support messages; and technical information such as device type, app version, approximate region, crash data and basic usage events.
If the app requests access to your camera or photo library, that access is used to let you select or capture meal images. We do not claim ownership of your photos.

- Analyse meal images and return estimated food and nutrition information.

4. AI processing and meal photos
Meal images and related text may be processed by automated systems, including third-party AI or cloud service providers, to identify foods and generate estimates or suggestions. AI-generated outputs can be incomplete or inaccurate. Nutrition values are estimates only and are not medical, dietary or clinical advice.
If third-party AI providers are used in production, this policy should identify or describe those providers and explain whether submitted content may be retained by them or used to improve their services.
5. When information may be shared
We may share information with service providers that support hosting, storage, analytics, authentication, customer support, image processing or AI functionality. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business reorganisation or transfer. We do not sell personal information for money.

We aim to keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and maintain security. Specific retention periods can vary depending on the type of information and the systems involved.
